Last Sunday, Pastor Alan, delivered his last sermon “You Are the Light,” at Island United Church. His message was one of encouragement to keep our light shining and to share our love with all who come to our community.
With joy and sadness many friends and family joined the congregation to say good bye and wish him well. After the service we shared a wonderful meal together at Chevy’s Restaurant. On Monday he left for his new pastoral call at the Koloa Union Church in Kauai, Hawaii.
We plan to have guest ministers over the next few weeks. We hope soon to introduce an Interim Minister, who will be with us during our search for a new pastor.
