Lent is here. Ash Wednesday is tomorrow, March 5. Some have expressed an interest in attending the service at the Congregational Church of San Mateo. The service of music and reflection begins in the Sanctuary and concludes in the memorial garden near the labyrinth. “This will be an introspective, meaningful ritual to prepare us for spiritual deepening during Lent.” The service starts at 7:00 p.m.
We are learning exciting information about the Annual Gathering of NCNC UCC scheduled for Thursday, May 1 through Sunday, May 4 at the Sofitel Hotel in Redwood City. The topic of the Gathering is “Life Giving Waters.” The three keynote speakers will focus on various aspects of water issues in California and around the world. The worship services will view “water” spiritually. Stay posted for more information about this vital and important subject in our next enews.
